Air Serbia and Aeroflot expand codeshare partnership!

Air Serbia, the Serbian national airline and Aeroflot, the national airline of the Russian Federation, expanded their existing codeshare agreement, by adding their marketing codes to additional destinations within the partner’s flight network. The expanded cooperation will give passengers more choice and flexibility when organizing trips, as well as easier connectivity via Air Serbia’s and Aeroflot’s hub airports.

Thanks to the newly enhanced partnership, Air Serbia will place its JU code on Aeroflot flights to Yerevan and Seoul, while Aeroflot will add its SU code on the Serbian national airline’s flights to Sofia. The expansion of the codeshare agreement includes Air Serbia’s flights to Krasnodar and Rostov-on-Don, which will now also have Aeroflot’s code, in addition to the existing Belgrade-Moscow and Belgrade-Saint Petersburg codeshare routes, operated by both carriers.

“We are continuing to develop our successful cooperation with Aeroflot, looking forward to further expanding our mutual business relations and increasing connectivity within our networks, which will enable us to provide more choice and offers to our passengers. This is of particular importance in the circumstances of the pandemic in which we are currently operating,” said Jiri Marek, General Manager Commercial and Strategy Air Serbia.

The codeshare agreement between the Serbian and Russian national airlines also includes flights operated by Aeroflot between Moscow and Istanbul, Yekaterinburg, Kazan, Krasnodar, Novosibirsk, Omsk, Rostov-on-Don, Saint Petersburg, Samara, Sochi and Volgograd, as well as Air Serbia’s routes between Belgrade and Banja Luka, Istanbul, Podgorica, Sarajevo, Skopje, Tirana and Tivat.
