Air Serbia flight to Moscow forced to return after bomb threat!


According to the Aviation Portal "Ex - Yu Aviation", a flight JU652 of Air Serbia to Moscow Sheremetyevo Airport has been forced to return back at Belgrade Nikola Tesla Airport shortly after departure as a result of an anonymous e-mail warning that there is a bomb on board. The single wide - body A330 aircraft of Air Serbia landed safely at Belgrade Nikola Tesla Airport and all 209 passengers were evacuated. The jet has been inspected by anti - terrorist police units.


Belgrade Nikola Tesla Airport continues to operate. According to media reports, the e-mail message included the author's discontent with Serbia's relations with Russia. Air Serbia is one of the few European airlines able to operate into Russia amid the ongoing war in Ukraine as Serbia has not imposed sanctions onto the country. Air Serbia has another flight scheduled to Moscow this evening, the third for the day.
