Air Serbia to mark its 95th anniversary with a special emblem!

Air Serbia will mark its 95th anniversary with a special emblem that will be put on all aircraft of the Serbian national airline.

First established as Aeroput, on 17 June 1927, Air Serbia is the eighth oldest airline in the world that is still operational.

With the slogan “95 years of flying”, the emblem was designed to combine tradition and modernity, paying homage to the rich history of the Serbian national airline. The emblem will be placed on and made clearly visible on the body of 12 Airbus aircraft and five ATR aircraft.

“An important anniversary is ahead of us, and we want to thank our glorious predecessors that founded the first national airline, Aeroput, in 1927. We are immensely proud of the fact that only several carriers in the world have a history as long as our company. That is also a great responsibility, because, as direct successors to a 95-year-long tradition, we must stay up to the task,” said Jiří Marek, CEO of Air Serbia.

In addition to creating and putting a special emblem on its aircraft, Air Serbia will mark the 95th anniversary on 17 June with a series of commemorative activities.

The first national airline, Aeroput, operated until 1947, when it was succeeded by Jugoslovenski aerotransport (JAT), which transformed into Jat Airways in 2003, while the new chapter of the airline, under the current name of Air Serbia, began in 2013.
