Alitalia continues Ex-Yu routes suspension

The Italian Alitalia has delayed the resumption of the route from Rome Flumicino to Podgorica and has removed Belgrade from the summer schedule. The airline did not operate any flight to both routes since March 2020 and had plans to restore both destinations on March 28 this year. Rome - Podgorica flights are further delayed until June 2nd where they will start to operate three to four times per week. Mostly on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. This route will be operated by Alitalia Cityline and Embraer E170 aircraft. To Belgrade, Alitalia has removed all direct flights until October 30th. The only option to book a direct flight via their website are the flights which are going to be operated by AirSerbia starting May 28th. They will run three times per week, on Mondays, Fridays and Sundays with Airbus A319 aircraft. There are no further information if the italian national airline will be resuming Belgrade service in winter season 2021-2022.
