The Italian national carrier Alitalia will return the flights from Rome Fiumicino Airport to Dubrovnik and Split in August this year. The airline did not operate on these routes since 2019. Both routes werent in operation last year due to the low demand caused by the pandemic.
Rome Fiumicino - Split will be resumed on August 4 and will operate twice a week, on Wednesday and Friday. Embraer E175 aircraft is deployed on this route with capacity for 88 passengers. Among Alitalia, three different carriers are already operating on this route, among which are Croatia Airlines, WizzAir and Vueling.
Rome Fiumicino - Dubrovnik will be resumed on August 2 and will operate twice a week, on Monday and Saturday, The flights on this route will operate during August only, with the last flight for this season to depart on August 30. Embraer E175 aircraft is deployed on this route as well. Among Alitalia, Croatia Airlines and Vueling are operating on this route, while WizzAir has delayed the start of Rome Fiumicino - Dubrovnik route until March 29, 2022 due to the low demand.
