Austrian Airlines will reduce the flights to the Balkan this winter-season. The airline will operate significantly less flights to Podgorica, Belgrade, Tirana and Skopje but will increase the flights to Zagreb.
107 weekly rotations will be operated by the Austrian carrier this winter: 21 weekly rotations to Sofia, 18 weekly to Belgrade, 13 weekly to Sarajevo, 12 weekly to Zagreb and Tirana, 10 weekly to Skopje, nine weekly to Pristina, eight weekly to Podgorica and four weekly rotations to Varna. The airline will not operate to Split or Dubrovnik during the winter.
Vienna - Zagreb - Vienna is the only route which will see increased flights this winter season. The airline plans to operate 12 in total, one will be operated every day in the afternoon and the second one will be operated every Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday in the morning. 11 weekly flights are operated to Zagreb this summer. All flights will continue to be operated with Embraer E195 aircraft with 112 seats.
Vienna - Belgrade - Vienna route will be reduced from 21 to 18 times per week. Instead of 3 daily flights, the carrier will operate twice a day on Mondays and just once a day on Saturdays, all with Embraer E195 aircraft with 112 seat capacity.
Vienna - Sarajevo - Vienna route will be reduced from 14 to 13 times a week as only one daily flight is planned on Saturdays. But, the route will see an increase in the seat capacity this winter as the airline will use Airbus A320 aircraft instead of Embraer E195, offering 48 seats more on every flight.
Vienna - Podgorica - Vienna flights will be significantly reduced from 14 to just eight times per week as of 31st October. The airline will operate one daily flights to Podgorica and twice a day on Sundays only with A320 and E195 aircraft with 160 and 112 seats each.
Vienna - Pristina - Vienna route will also be reduced from 10 to nine times per week. The airline will operate one daily flight on Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays and two daily flights on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Sundays while no flights on Saturdays will be operated. Airbus A320 and E195 aircraft will operate on this route with 160 and 112 seats each.
Vienna - Skopje - Vienna flights will be reduced significantly as well as the airline will operate only 10 weekly instead of 14. One flight will be operated every day and second daily flight will be operated on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays with Airbus A320 aircraft mostly with 160 seat capacity.
Vienna - Tirana - Vienna flights will be reduced from 17 to 12 times per week and will operate once a day on Mondays and Fridays and twice a day on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays with Airbus A320 aircraft with 160 seats.
Vienna - Sofia - Vienna route will continue to operate 21 times per week, three times per day during the winter-season with both A320 and E195 aircraft while Vienna - Varna - Vienna flights will be reduced from seven to four times per week and will operate on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays with A320 aircraft and on Sundays with E195 aircraft.
