After reporting that the European Union has put Macedonia, Serbia and Albania on the list of safe countries for Covid-19 and that the ban on non EU citizens entering in the EU countries has been formally lifted, four countries has further eased the restrictive measures.
Belgium, Netherlands, France and Austria have decided to allow the non EU citizens from Macedonia, Serbia and Albania to visit those countries for non-essential or touristic reasons starting from Friday mid-night Germany has already done this as of June 20.
Passengers which are going to travel by air are still required to submit a negative test certificate no older than 72 hours, a Covid test document up to 6 months ago, or two doses of Pfizer, Astra Zeneka, Moderna or Johnson vaccines. For the time being, they do not accept Chinese vaccines or Sputnik.
We would like to remind you that it is up to each EU member state to decide exactly what requirements it imposes on passengers. It is also unclear when exactly the new travel arrangements will be implemented.
For a country to receive the status of a safe country, there must be a maximum of 75 cases of coronavirus per 100,000 inhabitants in the last 14 days.
According to the announcment from TAV Airports, as of today, both airport in North Macedonia ( Skopje and Ohrid ) have change in the restriction measures which are eased. As of today, June 25, the entrance into the public zone of the terminal building at both airports is unrestricted for all passengers, escorts, persons, meters and greeterts as well as airport stuff. Since the start of the pandemic until now, only passengers with flight tickets were allowed to enter in the terminal buildings of both airports.
