Eurowings to operate 700 round-trip flights to the Balkan this winter!


The German low cost carrier Eurowings will operate limited flights to and from the Balkan this winter season. There are 689 round-trip flights scheduled in total, 278 of which are on the routes involving Zagreb, Sarajevo, Split, Belgrade and Tirana and the remaining 411 are on the flights between Dusseldorf, Cologne, Frankfurt, Munich, Stuttgart, Hamburg, Hannover and Zurich to Pristina.


Least flights will be operated to Tirana, only four, followed by Belgrade with only 12 round-trip flights this winter season, then Sarajevo with 52 round-trip flights this season and Zagreb & Split both with 105 round-trip flights this winter.


Dusseldorf - Zagreb route will be suspended on 22nd October. The flights on this route will be resumed on 20th December and will run every Tuesday and Saturday until 7th January 2023. They will be resumed again on 11th March and will be increased on three times per week on 30th March. 11 round-trip flights are available.


Cologne - Zagreb flights are running every Monday, Friday and Sunday until 16th October when they will be resumed on twice a week until 18th December. Four weekly rotations, on Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday are available on this route during the period 21st December - 1st January 2023. The flights will then run twice per week and will be suspended on 15th January until 19th March. Four weekly rotations are available as of 27th March. 35 round-trip flights are available.


Stuttgart - Zagreb route will continue to be operated every Monday, Friday and Sunday. As of 2nd November, Eurowings will add fourth weekly rotation on this route on Wednesdays. The route will be suspended between 4th and 21st December, then it will continue to operate as before until 15th January 2023. After two weeks, the flights will be resumed again and will run three times per week in February and four times a week in March. Five weekly flights are available as of 30th March. 59 round-trip flights are available.



Cologne - Split flights will run twice per week this winter. Until 27th November, the carrier will operate this route every Tuesday and Sunday. The flights will be resumed again on 18th December and will run every Tuesday, Friday and Sunday until 10th January. As of 17th February Eurowings will return this route with two weekly rotations until the end of the winter-season and six weekly flights as of 31st March. Eurowings offers 30 round-trip flights on this route during the winter season.


Dusseldorf - Split route will operate every Wednesday and Saturday until mid November before reducing it to once per week until 17th December. During the winter holidays, this route will be operated three times per week. The flights will be resumed again on 11th February and will run every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday until late March and six times per week as of 3rd April. 39 round-trip flights are available.


Stuttgart - Split flights will run every Thursday and Sunday until 27th November. They will be resumed on 20th December with four weekly rotations until 8th January. As of 19th February this route will be resumed again with one weekly service until mid March when it will be increased on four times per week and on five times per week as of April 10. 36 round-trip flights are available this winter.


Cologne - Sarajevo route will continue to operate twice a week until 10th January 2023. The flights will be resumed on 18th February with two weekly rotations until 25th March after which the flights on the route will be increased on three times per week. Only 30 round-trip flights are planned this winter.


Stuttgart - Sarajevo flights will operate twice per week until 27th November. They will be resumed again between 20th December and 8th January 2023. Two weekly flights are available as of 26th February as well. 22 round-trip flights are scheduled between Stuttgart and Sarajevo this winter.



Dusseldorf - Belgrade route will operate every Friday and Sunday and will be suspended on 16th October. It will be resumed on 20th December and suspended again on 9th January 2023 until 26th March when it will run three times per week. Only 12 round-trip flights are available on this route in the winter-season.


Stuttgart - Belgrade route will remain suspended until 30th March as previously reported on our website.


Dusseldorf - Pristina flights will operate five times per week during the whole winter-season ( 30th October 2022 - 25th March 2023 ), every Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. 104 round-trip flights are scheduled.


Frankfurt - Pristina flights will operate three times per week this winter, every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. 63 round-trip flights will be operated.



Hamburg & Hannover - Pristina routes will operate once a week during the winter, every Saturday. 21 round-trip flights will be operated on both routes.


Munich - Pristina flights will run four times a week this winter, every Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. 82 round-trip flights will be operated.


Stuttgart - Pristina route will run five times a week, every day except on Tuesday and Thursday. 100 round-trip flights are scheduled on this route this winter.


Zurich - Pristina flights will run once per week, every Sunday while Geneva - Pristina flights will end on 29th October. 20 round-trip flights are available between Pristina and Zurich this winter-season.


Cologne - Tirana route will be suspended on 15th October. The flights will be resumed again on 18th December and suspended on 8th January 2023. They are available again as of 1st April. Four round-trip flights are scheduled for this winter season on this route.


Eurowings will use Airbus A319 and A320 aircraft on its flights to and from the Balkan, with 138 / 144 and 168 / 174 seats each, depending on the configuration. Over 230 000 seats are available on these routes this winter-season.
