Lufthansa has suspended the operations between its base in Munich and the Albanian capital last Thursday, 13 January due to the low demand after the New Year holidays. It comes after the German carrier announced that they will operate over 18.000 ghost flights during the upcoming period in order to keep the connections from its hubs in Frankfurt and Munich. However. some routes had to be suspended.
Unfortunately, Lufthansa will not operate from Munich to Tirana for a period of 30 days i.e. until 14 February. Once the flights are resumed, they will operate five times a week, every day except on Friday and Saturday with Airbus A319 and Airbus A320 aircraft.
The airline will keep in operation the flights between Frankfurt and Tirana during this period, they will continue to operate seven times a week, every day with Embraer E190 aircraft.
