Maribor Airport considering Skopje service with Wizz Air!

According to the Aviation portal Sierra 5 net, on Tuesday, at Večer's confrontation of candidates for deputies in Maribor, a surprising statement was made by the candidate for deputy from the Styrian capital, the current state secretary at the Ministry of the Interior, Mr. Franc Kangler, that a regular flight from Maribor will be established soon.

Mr. Kangler in a statement said: “This crisis is negative for economic growth, negative for Europe, but it can also be positive. And in the part where I see that it is positive, for example, because today we will also talk about the airport and the development of Maribor. Here I can say that within 14 days a regular line Wizz Air Maribor - Skopje will be established. And this is the Wizz Air that operated in Ukraine, in Russia, which is now moving to Slovenia. And if we know how to take advantage of this, this is a better future for Slovenia. "

For additional information, we turned to the Ministry of Infrastructure (hereinafter MZI), which is the owner of the Edvard Rusjan Airport Maribor. From there, we were told that talks between the LERM operator and the airline Wizz Air regarding the establishment of a connection on the Maribor-Skopje route are underway, but that a final agreement has not yet been reached. They also added that talks were also under way with Europe's largest low-cost carrier, Irish Ryanair, but that more concrete information could not be provided at this time. - Sierra 5 net informs.
