Ohrid Airport handles 11.000 passengers in December!


Ohrid Saint Paul The Apostle Airport handled 11.735 passengers during the last month of 2021, representing a decrease by 42,3% if compared to the same period in 2019 when the airport of Ohrid welcomed 20.348 passengers. It also represents an increase by 329% if compared to January 2020 when only 2.735 passengers were handled.


The number of the aircraft movements in December was 104, down by 32% if compared to the pre-pandemic levels when the number was 154. It also represents an increase by 150% if compared to December 2020 when the number was 42.


Ohrid Airport handled a total of 122.154 passengers in 2021, down by 61% if compared to 2019 when the airport of Ohrid welcomed a total of 313.447 passengers. It also represents an increase by 69,5% if compared to 2020 when 72,086 passengers were handled.


The second airport in North Macedonia is expecting to see small recovery this summer season as some airlines plans to resume their summer routes to Ohrid. Charter flights from Moscow are also expected.
