Ohrid Airport handles busiest April on record!


Ohrid Saint Paul The Apostle Airport handled 21 406 passengers in April 2022, representing an increase by 12,2% if compared to the pre-pandemic levels in 2019 when the airport handled 19 080 passengers in April. Zero passengers were handled in April 2020, and only 874 passengers in April last year.


It comes after Wizz Air resumed the flights to Ohrid from Vienna, Basel, Memmingen, Dortmund, London Luton and Malmo and launched new route from Friedrichshafen. The flights from Milan Malpensa are terminated. Chair Airlines was also operating two weekly rotations from Zurich.


Ohrid Airport handled a total of 42 048 passengers during the January - April period this year, down by only 7,5% if compared to the same four months before the pandemic when the airport handled 45 477 passengers.


The number of the aircraft movements at Ohrid Airport for April is 182, up by 19% if compared to April 2019 when the number was 19%.
