Ohrid Airport reaches 68% of the pre-pandemic levels!


Ohrid Saint Paul The Apostle Airport handled 7 570 passengers in March, representing a decrease by 32% if compared to the pre-pandemic levels in March 2019 when 11 119 passengers were handled. The airport handled 7 800 passengers in March 2020 and something under 2 000 passengers during the same month last year.


The number of the aircraft movements for Ohrid Airport in March this year is 78, down by 15% if compared to the same month in 2019.


Ohrid Airport handled a total of 20 642 passengers during the first three months of 2022, representing a decrease by 21% if compared to the same three months in 2019 when 26 397 passengers were welcomed.


Most of the flights to Ohrid during March were operated by Wizz Air from Basel and Dortmund. The other flights were operated by Chair Airlines from Zurich.


At the end of the month, Wizz Air resumed all of its routes to Ohrid, this includes London Luton, Malmo, Memmingen, Friedrichshafen and Vienna and all of them are operating on the pre-pandemic levels since then.
