Ohrid Saint Paul The Apostle Airport handled 21 078 passengers in May this year representing a decrease by 14,6% if compared to the same period before the pandemic in 2019 when 24 692 passengers were welcomed. The airport didn't handle any passenger in May 2020 as a result of the travel restriction caused by the pandemic and welcomed only 2 712 passengers in May last year which is an increase by over 650% if compared to the results of May this year.
The number of the aircraft movements in May 2022 is 291, up by 40% if compared to May 2019 when the number was 208. This is as a result of Wizz Air which launched four new routes to Ohrid Airport since then and increased the flights on the existing ones. Only 46 aircraft movements were handled at Ohrid Airport in May last year.
In May, Ohrid was connected with three weekly flights to Vienna as well as two weekly flights to Zurich, Basel, Memmingen, Dortmund, Malmo and London Luton.
