Skopje International Airport handled 102.160 passengers during the month of November, representing a decrease by 40% if compared to the same period before the pandemic in 2019. The numbers also show an increase of 133,5% if compared to 2020 when the airport welcomed only 43.784 travelers in November.
The number of the aircraft operations is 1.013, down by 24% if compared to November 2019 and up by 56,5% if compared to the same period last year.
Skopje Airport welcomed a total of 1.142.872 passengers during the first 11 months of 2021. It is expected that the airport will finish the year with some 1.250.000 passengers handled.
Most of the flights were operated by Wizz Air, while the busiest foreign carrier that operated to the city during November was Austrian Airlines together with Turkish Airlines, both with 10 weekly rotations from Vienna and Istanbul. Among them, Pegasus Airlines, Air Serbia, Croatia Airlines, LOT Polish Airlines, Nordwind Airlines, Chair Airlines, easyJet and Aegean Airlines operated scheduled non-stop flights to the Macedonian capital.
