Skopje International Airport handled 134.664 passengers in October or 1.040.712 passengers during the first 10 months of 2021, representing a decrease of 37% if compared to October 2019 when the airport handled 212.746 passengers. This also represents an increase by 151% if compared to the same period last year when the airport welcomed only 53.771 passengers.
There is a decrease by 48,15% if we compare the first 10 months of 2021 with the same period in 2019 when the airport welcomed 2.006.746 which double then this year. Again, these is an increase of 68,2% if compared to the first ten months last year when the airport handled 618.598 passengers only.
The number of the aircraft operations at Skopje for October stood at 1.231, representing a decrease by 23,5% if compared to the same period two years ago when the number was 1.627. It also represents an increase by 78,5% if compared to October 2020 when there were 695 aircraft movements at the airport.
Most of the flights were operated by Wizz Air, followed by Austrian Airlines, Pegasus Airlines, Turkish Airlines and Air Serbia.
Croatia Airlines, Chair Airlines, Edelweiss Air, LOT Polish Airlines and Nordwind Airlines were also operating scheduled flights to the Macedonian Capital.
