Skopje International Airport handled 104,395 passengers in June, representing its best month since the start of the pandemic. The airport 36 passengers only during the same period last year. It also represents a decrease by 55% compared to June 2019 when the airport handled 214,085 passengers. The number of the aircraft movements is 1336, down by 28% compared to the same period in 2019.
The airport handled 373,889 passengers during the first half of 2021, representing a decrease of 64,6% if compared to the same period in 2019 when the airport handled 1.056.822 passengers.
Most weekly flights were offered by Austrian Airlines from Vienna ( 12 weekly flights ) while the most popular city for Skopje Airport was Istanbul with 14 weekly flights ( 7 to the Main airport of Istanbul operated by Turkish Airlines and 7 to Sabiha Gokcen offered by Pegasus Airlines ). The most popular destinarions of WizzAir were Basel, Dortmund and Memmingen.
Skopje International Airport remains to be third busiest in Ex-Yu with Belgrade in the first and Pristina in the second place. Zagreb Airport is on fourth place.
