Skopje International Airport welcomed 259 795 passengers last month registering the busiest July on record. If compared to the pre-pandemic levels in July 2019, there is an increase of 7,6% as 241 567 passengers were handled back then. There is also an increase of 35,1% if compared to the same period last year when 192 328 passengers were welcomed.
Most of the passengers flew to and from Turkey as 22 weekly flights were operated to both airports of Istanbul, 15 weekly flights were operated to Antalya, three to Izmir and two weekly to Bodrum, 42 weekly flights in total.
So far, the last month has been the busiest July ever for Skopje Airport as well as the busiest month since the start of the pandemic back in 2020. The number of the aircraft movements in July is 1 979 with 0% difference if compared to July 2019 as the same number of aircraft movements was noted.
During the January - July period, Skopje International Airport welcomed a total of 1 120 745 passengers representing a decrease of 13,7% if compared to the same seven months in 2019 when 1 298 389 passengers were handled.
