Skopje International Airport welcomed 148 050 passengers during November, down by 13% if compared to November 2019, before the pandemic when 170 261 passengers were welcomed. There is an increase of 45% and 240% if compared to the same month in 2021 and 2020. The number of the aircraft movements in November 2022 is 1 299, down by 2,45% when compared to the same period three years ago.
Skopje Airport managed to handle up to 1 968 816 passengers this year and expects to end the 2022 with over 2 100 000 passengers. This a decrease of 9% only if compared to the same 11 months in 2019 when almost 2 200 000 passengers were welcomed.
Skopje TAV returned all the routes that were launched before the pandemic with exception of the flights to Dubai and Doha operated by fly Dubai and Qatar Airways, as well as Moscow and Saint Petersburg operated by Nordwind Airlines. Wizz Air recently announced the end of three routes from the city to Turku, Billund and Turin but it will significantly increase the operations from the base as of next May by adding sixth aircraft and increasing the frequencies on nine routes.
