Skopje International Airport is handling its busiest month since the start of the pandemic. This August, the airport handles a minimum of 19 departures and 19 arrivals a day and a maximum of 26 departures and 26 arrivals a day in August. The least busy days of the week are Tuesday and Wednesday while the busiest day for Skopje Airport this month is Sunday when 52 flights are handled. Around 40-50% of the flights per day are operated by WizzAir. The low-cost carrier which has a base in Skopje operates 20 flights a day on Monday and Friday, 22 flights a day on Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday, and 24 flights a day on Tuesday and Thursday.

 

A total of 240.200 seats are offered to and from Skopje in August, 25.000 of them are from the charter flights from Antalya, Bodrum and Hurghada.


The busiest airline at Skopje this month except Wizz Air is Austrian Airlines which operates 14 times a week or twice a day on the route Vienna - Skopje, followed by Chair Airlines which operates nine times a week on the route Zurich - Skopje and Air Serbia with eight weekly rotations from Belgrade to the Macedonian capital.

  • Zurich by Chair Air and Edelweiss Air - 13 weekly flights - 17.500-18.500 seats offered;

  • Basel by Wizz Air - 7 weekly flights - 1.4000-14.500 seats offered;

  • Dortmund by Wizz Air - 5 weekly flights - 7.500 - 8.000 seats offered.


Wizz Air offers most of the seats this month or over 150.000 seats and 666 flights from its base in Skopje. The airline which offers the least seats is Windrose Airlines which has capacity to handle a maximum of 390 passengers on the route Kyiv - Skopje this month.
