Skopje International Airport handled 88 859 passengers in February 2022, representing an increase of 96,75% if compared to the same period in 2021 when the airport welcomed a total of 45 169 passengers. It also represents a decrease of 39,75% if compared to February 2020, before the start of the pandemic, when 147 533 passengers were handled. There is a decrease by 35,5% if compared to the second month of 2019 when 137 664 passengers were handled.
There were a total of 796 aircraft movements at Skopje Airport during the month of February, representing an increase by 36,5% if compared to the same period last year when the number was 584.
Skopje International Airport handled a total of 201 594 passengers during the January - February period, representing an increase by 103% or double then in the January - February period last year when 99 310 passengers were handled.
Most of the flights from Skopje Airport were operated by Wizz Air to Basel, Memmingen, Friedrichshafen, Frankfurt Hahn, Karlsruhe / Baden - Baden, Dortmund, Cologne, Berlin, Hamburg, Copenhagen, Malmo, Gothenburg, Stockholm Skavsta, Oslo Torp, Paris Beauvais, Brussels Charleroi, Eindhoven and London Luton.
Among Wizz Air, Turkish Airlines and Austrian Airlines operated 10 weekly rotations to Skopje from their hubs in Istanbul and Vienna, followed by Pegasus Airlines with 7 weekly rotations from Istanbul Sabiha, Chair Airlines with 5 weekly flights from Zurich, Croatia Airlines and Air Serbia with four weekly flights from Zagreb and Belgrade, easyJet with three weekly flights from Geneva and Aegean Airlines with two weekly operations from Athens.
