Sofia Airport handled 496.400 passengers during the month of August, representing an increase by 71,5% if compared to the same period in 2020 when the airport handled 289.437 passengers. It also represents a decrease by 26,5% if compared to August 2019 when the airport handled 674.443 passengers. The number of the aircraft movements in August is 5.108, down by 10,8% if compared to the same period in 2019 when the number of the aircraft movements was 5.730. It also shows an increase by 46,7% if compared to August 2020 when the numbers were 3.483.
Most of the flights and passengers were handled by Wizz Air, Ryanair and Bulgaria Air.
