Sofia Airport handles nearly 400 000 passengers in March!

Sofia Airport handled 396 242 passengers during March 2022, reaching 69% of the pre-pandemic levels i.e. the same month in 2019 when 572 349 passengers were welcomed. There is an increase by 211,7% if compared to March 2021 when 127 160 passengers were handled as well as an increase by 47% if compared to the same month in 2020 when 269 419 passengers were welcomed.

Sofia Airport handled a total of 1 020 897 passengers during the first three months of 2022, representing a decrease by 36,15% if compared to the same period in 2019 when 1 597 818 passengers were handled.

The number of the aircraft movements for March is 3 797, down by 23% if compared to March 2019.

Most of the flights were operated by Wizz Air, followed by Ryanair and Bulgaria Air.
