The Turkish carrier Sun Express will launch new Skopje service in 2022. The well known Turkish Summer and charter airline will introduce flights from Izmir to Skopje on 19 June 2022. The flights will run once a week, on Sundays until 18 September 2022.
Sun Express may further increase these flights on twice a week or continue their operation until mid October if there is good demand. Boeing B737-800 aircraft with 189 seats capacity will be deployed on this route.
The carrier planned to launch flights on this route in 2020 after an agreement was reached before the start of the pandemic. However the route was canceled soon after until now.
Sun Express will continue to operate summer seasonal flights between Antalya and Skopje next year as well. They will operate four times a week next summer season, every Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday as of 7 June. The flights on this route are expected to end on October 3. Boeing B737-800 aircraft is deployed.
Turkey will remain busiest summer destination for Skopje with over 18 weekly flights from Antalya. As of next summer, Skopje will be connected with five airports in Turkey, among which are: Istanbul, Istanbul Sabiha Gokcen, Bodrum, Izmir and Antalya.
