The EU returnes Macedonia, Serbia and Albania to the list of safe countries for Covid-19!

The European Union has put Macedonia, Serbia and Albania on the list of safe countries for Covid-19. This decision was made by the ambassadors of the members of the Union at today's meeting. This means that the ban on EU citizens entering these countries has been formally lifted. The proposal is adopted at a meeting past Friday ( June 18 ), but that does not rule out the possibility for each member to decide individually and ask passengers for a PCR or quarantine test.

- It is up to each EU member state to decide exactly what requirements it imposes on passengers. It is also unclear when exactly the new travel arrangements will be implemented, said a representative of the Portuguese presidency in Brussels.

This weekend, Germany removed Macedonia from the list of countries at risk and facilitated the entry of our citizens who have regulated stay there only for travel by land. There is no longer a need for a digital travel report, nor for a Covid test, nor for quarantine. But if they are still traveling by plane, they must submit a negative test certificate no older than 72 hours, a Covid test document up to 6 months ago, or two doses of Pfizer, Astra Zeneka, Moderna or Johnson vaccines. For the time being, they do not accept Chinese vaccines or Sputnik. There is still a ban on tourist travel for third-country nationals in Germany.

For a country to receive the status of a safe country, there must be a maximum of 75 cases of coronavirus per 100,000 inhabitants in the last 14 days.
