The summer holiday airline TUI Fly ( Netherlands ) has finally returned to Ohrid with direct flights from Netherlands today. The well known airline operated its first flight from Eindhoven to Ohrid this afternoon since the start of the pandemic. The flights will operate once a week, every Monday with Airbus A320 aircraft.
The airport of Ohrid was connected with three cities in the Netherlands before the pandemic, such as Amsterdam, Maastricht and Eindhoven. Corendon Airlines and TUI Fly were operating on these routes.
However, some carriers did not return to Ohrid this summer, such as Brussels Airlines which operated direct flights from the Belgium capital, Eurowings which operated from Dusseldorf and Stuttgart to Ohrid, Nordica which operated flights from the capital of Estonia - Tallinn as well as Onur Air which operated once a week from Istanbul Ataturk airport.
Among TUI, Edelweiss Air has also resumed its flights from Zurich to Ohrid at the beggining of July. The carrier is operating every Sunday on this route with Airbus A320 aircraft. Chair Airlines is operating four times a week from Zurich, while WizzAir is operating from Basel, Malmo, Vienna, Memmingen and Dortmund with Airbus A320 and A321 aircraft.
