Turkish Airlines overtakes Austrian Airlines and becomes Skopje Airport's top transfer airline!

Turkish Airlines overtakes Austrian Airlines and once again becomes busiest transfer airline for Skopje International. The Turkish carrier was third busiest at Skopje previously this year with Pegasus Airlines on second and Austrian Airlines on the first place.

However, as of the next week Turkish Airline will overtake both Pegasus and Austrian by increasing the flights on the route Istanbul - Skopje - Istanbul, while Austrian Airlines has reduced Vienna - Skopje - Vienna flights from 14 to 11 times a week in early November.

As of 2 December, Turkish Airlines will operate 10 times a week to Skopje as we previously reported on our website and Instagram profile. They will add second daily rotations on Mondays, Thursdays and Sundays. Airbus A321 and Boeing B737-800 aircraft will be deployed. The airline will offer 13.860 seats on this route in December and 86 flights which represents an increase by 34% if compared to November when the airline offered something above 10.000 seats.

Austrian Airlines operates 11 times a week to Skopje, every day except on Tuesday and Saturday. On Tuesday they operate one daily rotation only while for Saturday, they don't operate any flight. Embraer E195 aircraft is deployed on this route. They offer 10.080 seats on 90 flights to Skopje in December, a decrease by over 30% if compared to October when the offered over 16.000 seats on 124 flights.

Austrian will still continue to operate more flights to Skopje then Turkish Airlines, but they won't offer capacity as much as Turkish Airlines will offer.

Pegasus Airlines will also overtake Austrian Airlines by offering more seats then the Austrian carrier. They offer around 13.000 seats on the route Istanbul Sabiha - Skopje on 72 flights in December. They operate 8 times a week to Skopje, once a day every day and twice a day every Friday with Airbus A320 or Boeing B737-800 aircraft, both with capacity of 180-189 seats.
