Windrose Airlines terminates Skopje service!

Windrose Airlines has ended their operations between Kyiv and Skopje last Thursday, October 7th, after just 10 months since the route was launched. The airline recently announced Skopje flights for the next summer season and after decided to cancel all services on this route from Thursday, October 7th. Tickets are now totally removed from sale on their website.

Windrose Airlines operated once a week to the Macedonian Capital during this winter season with flights on Thursdays only operated by Embraer Regional Jet ERJ145 ( shown on the photo ) with capacity of 49 seats in 2-1 economy class configuration.

This route was launched last year and started with operations on 6 December 2020 wtih two weekly services on Thursdays and Sundays. However due to the low demand on the route caused by the travel restrictions for entering Ukraine due to the ongoing pandemic the flights were reduced on once a week.

We contacted Windrose Airlines for the reason about terminating Skopje service, however we did not get feedback whether they are going to return to the city or not.

They will continue to operate regular flights to Belgrade, Podgorica, Zagreb and Sofia and will start operations to Ljubljana and Bucharest in April 2022. The tickets for the summer seasonal flights to Pula, Split and Tivat have also been removed from sale on their website.

Kyiv was one of the two new routes that were launched to Skopje in 2020, together with Salzburg which was launched by Wizz Air and operated for a short period during December 2020 and January this year.
