The low cost carrier Wizz Air has announced its first operations to the fourth airport in Bulgaria. The airline will operate to the city of Plovdiv this winter season from two German cities and from London Luton. The flights from Memmingen to Plovdiv will start on November 6 and will operate twice a week, every Tuesday and Saturday. Dortmund - Plovdiv will start on November 2 and will also operate every Tuesday and Saturday. London Luton - Plovdiv route will start on Novemebr 1 and will operate every Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
By launching Plovdiv flights, Wizz Air will operate to all four airports in Bulgaria, such as Sofia, Bourgas, Varna and Plovdiv which is their new destination.
Ryanair is currently the only airline to operate to the city of Plovdiv. They operate on the route London Stansted - Plovdiv twice a week in August, every Monday and Friday. They will operate three times a week as of September, every Monday, Wednesday and Friday. The airline will also resume Dublin - Plovdiv route on December 18 and will operate every Tuesday and Saturday until the end of the winter season in late March next year.
