Wizz Air will downgrade the flights on six routes from Bulgaria from year-round to summer seasonal only. The airline will soon end the operations from Sofia to Billund, Lisbon and Malaga as well as from Varna to Hannover, Barcelona and Liverpool.
The flights from Sofia to Billund will continue to operate twice a week, every Thursday and Sunday until October 28. They will be resumed on March 27 next year with the same flight schedule. Sofia - Lisbon will remain to operate on Mondays and Fridays until October 29. The route will then be suspended all the way until June 13 when it will start to operate again with the same flight schedule. Sofia - Malaga will end on October 29 and will be resumed on March 29 with two weekly rotations, every Monday and Friday.
Varna - Hannover will end on October 1. Only two round-trips remain to be operated this year, both are on Fridays. The route will start again with flights on March 28 and will operate every Monday and Friday. Varna - Barcelona will continue to operate once a week, every Saturday until October 30, The route will be resumed again on March 29 with two weekly rotations on Tuesdays and Saturdays. Varna - Liverpool will continue to operate twice a week, every Tuesday and Saturday until October 28. Flights on this route will be available again as of March 29, three times a week, every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.
Among these routes, Wizz Air will suspend the flights from Varna to Larnaca and Prague from October 3 until October 31. Varna - Milan Bergamo will be resumed in late March 2022 while Varna - Salzburg and Tel Aviv in mid June next year.
Sofia - Saint Petersburg and Budapest are also removed from the winter season timetable.
