The Airbus A321 aircraft of Wizz Air with the special "100 Livery" and registration HA-LTD has been parked at the old terminal at Skopje International Airport for a few days now after it has been out of operation according to a staff member of TAV Skopje.
This has caused several cancelations of flights. In the last three days, the airline has been forced to cancel the flight to Paris Beauvais and Malmo on 8th September, to Basel, Bologna and London Luton on 9th September and to Frankfurt Hahn and Hamburg yesterday. The airline didn't have available aircraft to fly to Skopje base in order to replace HA-LTD jet at that time.
However, the airline saved the flight to Treviso and managed to operate it with the A321 aircraft that arrived from Turku yesterday at 13:30 local time. The flight to Treviso departed with a delay of just 90 minutes.
An Airbus A320 aircraft flew from Sofia to Skopje base yesterday in order to operate the flight to Malta at 14:00 local time as the previously planned A321 aircraft was deployed to operate a flight to Treviso which was completely full with not a single free seat available.
