Wizz Air has launched the flights on two of its four routes from Tirana base last weekend. The low cost carrier started the operations to Oslo Sandefjord Torp last Saturday, December 11 and to Madrid yesterday, December 12.
Tirana - Oslo will operate twice a week, every Tuesday and Saturday during the New Year holidays with Airbus A321 or A320 aircraft. The route will be suspended on 8 January 2022 and will not operate until 12 March 2022.
Tirana - Madrid will operate twice a week as well, every Wednesday and Sunday until the end of the season. Airbus A321 and A320 aircraft is deployed on this route.
Wizz Air will launch one more route from its base in the Albanian capital until the end of 2021. The flights to Liverpool will start on 14 December and will operate every Tuesday and Saturday until 8 January 2022. The route will be resumed again after two months i.e. 8 March 2022 and will operate every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday until the end of the winter season.
The fourth route, Tirana - Billund is delayed for launch until 3 March 2022. Two weekly flights are scheduled for this route.
The airline will also increase the flights on some of its existing routes from Tirana for the upcoming period with the sixth Airbus aircraft which is going to be deployed later this week.
