The low cost carrier Wizz Air will suspend the flights on three routes from Sofia over the winter-season. The carrier has already stopped the flights to Billund this week and will not operate on the route until 30th March 2023.
Flights to Malta are not planned in the winter-season schedule. The airline will continue to operate them every Monday, Wednesday and Friday until 28th October and will resume them on 27th March 2023.
Sofia - London Gatwick service is also removed from the winter-season schedule. The flights on this route will stop on 29th October and will be resumed in late March next year.
Wizz Air will launch two new routes from Sofia this December: Hamburg and Stockholm Skavsta, and will introduce operations to Riyadh in Saudi Arabia in April next year.
