Wizz Air has terminated eight routes from the Balkan. The Budapest based carrier will no longer operate on the following routes: Belgrade - Billund, Belgrade - Santorini, Belgrade - Oslo Torp, Belgrade - Vaxjo, Sofia - Billund, Sofia - Chania, Sofia - Mykonos and Tuzla - Milan Malpensa. It comes just after the airline announced the end of Sarajevo base.
All of these routes were launched in the latest expansions of the airline, most of them in December of last year. The airline will continue to operate from Belgrade to Heraklion and from Sofia to Corfu next summer, while the flights to Vaxjo, Oslo, Billund and Milan which were planned to be resumed in late March 2023 are no longer available and the tickets have been removed from sale.
No route is affected from Skopje or Tirana base, as well as to any other destination in the Balkan.
