The greenest and fastest growing carrier in Europe - Wizz Air which has base in the city of Skopje, the Capital of Republic of North Macedonia will downgrade Bremen and Hannover flights from year-round to summer season operations. The flights to Hannover will end on October 24 and will continue to operate once a week until then, every Sunday with Airbus A321 aircraft. Skopje - Bremen flights will end on October 30 and will also continue to operate only once a week, every Sunday with the same A321 aircraft.
Skopje is the only base of Wizz Air which is connected with all their destinations ( 11 ) in Germany, such as Hamburg, Berlin Brandenburg. Hannover, Bremen, Dortmund. Cologne, Frankfurt Hahn, Karlsruhe / Baden - Baden, Nuremberg, Memmingen and Friedrichshafen.
However, the carrier now plans to operate only to 9 cities in Germany this winter, with Bremen and Hannover to be returned at the end of March next year when the summer season starts.
Wizz Air may return Hannover and Bremen winter flights from Skopje if the travel restrictions are eased. Changes still remain possible.
The carrier will also suspend the flights to the city of Vaxjo in Sweden as of October 3. The flights will be resumed on October 31st with two weekly rotations, every Wednesday and Sunday.
