The low cost carrier Wizz Air will launch six new routes from Tirana, Albania next summer-season to Poland and Italy. The airline will launch flights to Brindisi, Lamezia Terme, Naples, Trieste, Gdansk and Poznan.
The flights to Brindisi will start on July 3rd and will operate three times per week, every Monday, Wednesday and Friday until the end of the summer-season. Services to Lamezia Terme will begin on 3rd July as well and will operate twice per week, every Monday and Friday until 27th October. The airline will also connect Tirana with Naples as of 3rd July with flights on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays and Trieste on the same day with flights on Mondays and Fridays. It will be the first time that Wizz Air will operate to Trieste airport which is their newest destination in Italy.
Tirana - Poznan services will start on 4th July and will operate every Thursday and Sunday and Tirana - Gdansk flights will start on 6th July and will operate every Thursday and Sunday. Among these two, Wizz Air already launch three routes from Poland to Albania, such as Warsaw, Katowice and Wroclaw.
Wizz Air will operate on a total of 19 routes from Tirana to Italy, such as Ancona, Bari, Bologna, Brindisi, Catania, Genoa, Pescara, Pisa, Rimini, Milan Bergamo, Milan Malpensa, Venice Treviso, Verona, Turin, Rome Fiumicino, Perugia, Lamezia terme, Naples and Trieste. Most flights will be operated to both airports of Milan, Rome, Treviso, Bologna and Bari.
Wizz Air will also launch Tirana - Athens service on 13th December and Tirana - Dammam flights on 17th April. The airline will operate on a total of 50 routes from Tirana base with nine Airbus aircrafts. The latest jet is expected to join the fleet at Tirana in July 2023.
