The low cost carrier Wizz Air will suspend the flights on all four routes to Kukes Airport in Albania during the winter-season. The carrier launched four routes to their new destination in the country this summer season, this includes Vienna - Kukes, Basel - Kukes, Memmingen - Kukes and Karlsruhe / Baden - Baden - Kukes. The airline previously planned to operate these routes on year-round basis but now has removed the tickets from sale for the winter-season.
Memmingen - Kukes service is operated every Monday and Friday with Airbus A320neo aircraft. The flights on this route will stop on 28th October and will be resumed again in late March 2023.
Basel - Kukes service runs twice per week as well, every Tuesday and Saturday with Airbus A320neo aircraft until 29th October. The flights are expected to continue with operation as of March 2023.
Karlsruhe - Kukes flights operates every Wednesday and Sunday with Airbus A320neo aircraft until 26th October. They will be resumed next summer-season.
Vienna - Kukes route is operated every Thursday and Sunday with Airbus A320neo aircraft with 186 seats until 27th October. Once again, this route will be resumed in March 2023.
