WizzAir has deployed one Airbus A321 aircraft at Skopje yeasterday in order to return the fourth deployed aircraft at Skopje base. The airline previously operated with three aircrafts from Skopje due to the small number of routes which were in operation. The carrier resumed nine routes this and last month, such as Turku, Copenhagen, Vaxjo, Bremen, Hannover, Nurnberg, Karlsruhe / Baden - Baden, Nurnberg and Paris Beauvais. Oslo Torp, Treviso, Bratislava and Barcelona will further be resumed this and next week. The airline has also increased the number of the weekly rotation to some of its routes, such as Basel which operates every day, Dortmund which operated five times a week, Memmingen four times a week, Brussels Charleroi which will operate three times a week in July, Hamburg and Cologne three times a week...
The airline now operates with the same passenger capacity from Skopje per day, just like they did before the pandemic start. Now, WizzAir operates with two Airbus A321neo aircrafts ( 239 seats capacity ), one Airbus A321 aircraft ( 230 seats capacity ) and one Airbus A320 aircraft ( 180 seats capacity ). The mentioned airline can handle up to 5.328 passengers from Skopje ( 12 flights per day, both ways included ) in 24 hours. Before the pandemic, when the carrier had deployed five Airbus A320 aircrafts only ( 180 seats capacity ), Wizzair handeled up to 5.400 passengers ( 15 flights per day, both ways included ) in 24 hours.
The Airbus A321-231 aircraft with registration HA-LXU departed from Gdansk to Debrecen on April 28 where it was stored for more then two months. The aircraft left Debrecen Airport in Hungary yesterday afternoon and landed in Skopje after 1 hour flight. The aircraft is already in use and departed to Basel at 07:10 this morning.
