The low cost carrier WizzAir has upgraded its fleet at Skopje base from four to five aircrafts last week. Even four of them are Airbus A321 with 230 seats capacity. The airline operated with two Airbus A321s, one Airbus A321neo and one Airbus A320 aircraft until July 17 when the Airbus A321neo made its last flight from Skopje to London Luton and got changed with Airbus A321 type.
Wizzair will operate with Airbus A321 aircrafts to all routes from Skopje except Dortmund. The fifth aircraft, an Airbus A320 will only be used for the flights to Dortmund which are operating five times a week.
The airline operated with five aircrafts from Skopje before the panemic, in 2019 when four new routes were launched. All of them were Airbus A320 type which means that now, during the pandemic, WizzAir operates with more capacity then ever. The airline can handle up to 6.600 passengers per day from Skopje base if all aircrafts are maximum used.
However, the situation will be changed in September when the carrier is expecting to operate less flights from its base in Skopje.
