WizzAir has further resumed, increased or delayed some routes from its bases across the Balkan during the past week.
Changes in the Macedonian routes network
WizzAir has further delayed the flights to five routes from North Macedonia: Malta, Larnaca, Budapest, Milan and Rome.
The carrier has decided not to operate to both Malta and Larnaca until mid September. The flights between Skopje and Malta will be resumed on September 13 and will operate every Monday and Friday while to Larnaca on September 14, Tuesday and Saturday. Skopje - Budapest is further delayed until August 31 and will operate every Tuesday and Saturday once it resumes. Skopje - Milan Malpensa will be re - established on July 14 instead of June 30. It will operate every Wednesday and Sunday once it is resumed. Airbus A321neo aircraft is deployed on this route. Skopje - Rome Champino is delayed and will be resumed on July 20 instead of June 29. The flights to the Italian capital will run every Tuesday and Saturday in July, and every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday as of August. Airbus A320 aircraft is deployed on this route.
WizzAir has also resumed the flights from Skopje to Karlsruhe / Baden - Baden, Hannover, Nurnberg, Bremen, Paris Beauvais and Vaxjo. Skopje - Vaxjo, Nurnberg, Hannover and Bremen will operate once a week until mid July when they will get increased on their regular two weekly service with exception for Nurnberg which will continue to operate once a week until early August.
The next routes for resumption are Oslo, Bratislava, Treviso and Barcelona. Skopje - Oslo Sandefjord Torp will be resumed next Saturday, June 26 and will operate every Tuesday and Saturday with Airbus A321neo aircraft. Skopje - Bratislava will be resumed on July 3 and will operate every Tuesday and Saturday and every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday as of August with Airbus A320 aircraft. Skopje - Treviso and Barcelona will be resumed on July 4 and both will operate every Thursday and Sunday with Airbus A321neo aircraft.
Among Copenhagen and Stockholm Skasvta, WizzAir has also added additional third weekly rotation for its flights to Berlin Brandenburg. This will be used for the period of three weeks, starting July 14, Wednesday.
WizzAir has also increased the flights from Basel to Ohrid from two to three and four times a week. The airline will operate every Monday, Wednesday and Friday on this route staring July 7. The flights will operate every Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday between July 19 and August 1. After August 2, they will return to the regular schedule, Monday and Friday.
Malmo - Ohrid will be resumed on June 29 and will operate every Tuesday and Saturday, while London Luton - Ohrid will be resumed on August 4 and will operate every Wednesday and Sunday.
Milan Malpensa - Ohrid is further delayed from August 31 until October 31st. The route will not operate during the summer season. There is no change for the remaining routes from Skopje and Ohrid.
WizzAir further increses routes from Serbia
WizzAir has increased the flights between Belgrade and Stockholm. The route operates four times a week this month, every Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday. The flights to Skavsta airport will get even more increased in July. They will operate every Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday until July 31. in August they will operate three times a week as planned, every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.
The carrier has resumed the flights to two routes, Larnaca and Karlsruhe. Belgrade - Larnaca is resumed as of June 6 and operates every Sunday this month and every Thursday and Sunday as of July. Belgrade - Karlsruhe route is resumed today and will operate twice a week, every Tuesday and Saturday. WizzAir has added one additional, fourth weekly service from Belgrade to Malmo scheduled for June 18, Sunday. Belgrade - Malta is further delayed for August 2. Belgrade - Oslo will start on July 25.
WizzAir has already deployed one Airbus A321-231 aircraft at Belgrade with capacity of 230 passengers and plans to change the second Airbus A320 with A321 aircraft next week.
The mentioned airline will also increase the flights from Basel to Nis as of July 14. The third weekly service will run every Wednesday until the end of the month.
Wizz resumes and increases one route to Pristina
WizzAir has resumed the flights from Milan Malpensa to Pristina this Thursday, July 17. They havent been in operations since April 4. Since they are resumed, they will operate every Thursday and Sunday with Airbus A321neo aircraft with capacity of 239 seats.
The airline has increased the flights from Dortmund to Pristina on four times a week for July only, by adding additional weekly rotation every Thursday. Rome Fiumicino - Pristina is scheduled to start for July 18.
Two routes are resumed to Montenegro
The low cost carrier from Hungary has resumed the flights from Vienna and Budapest to Podgorica this month. Budapest - Podgorica is resumed as of June 4 and operates every Monday and Friday since then, while Vienna - Podgorica is resumed today. The route will operate only on Saturday this month, and every Tuesday and Saturday as of July. Memmingen - Podgorica will further be increased on June 28 with flights every Monday and Friday, Warsaw & Katowice - Podgorica will be resumed next Saturday, June 26 with flights every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, Milan Malpensa - Podgorica is delayed for October 31. There is no change for Dortmund - Podogorica route.
WizzAir resumes Tirana - Eindhoven service
The mentioned low cost carrier has resumed the flights from Tirana to Eindhoven last Friday, June 18. They will operate every Friday in June, and every Monday and Friday as of July with Airbus A321neo aircraft.
Wizz starts Poland - Split flights, prepares for Dubrovnik service
WizzAir has started the summer seasonal flights from Krakow, Poznan, Lublin and Gdansk to Split last week. Krakow and Poznan - Split flights started as of June 11 and they operate every Monday and Friday with Airbus A320 aircraft. Lublin and Gdansk - Split routes are started as of June 13, both are operating every Thursday and Sunday with Airbus A321 aircraft. Wroclaw - Split will start tomorrow, June 20 and will operate once a week, every Sunday. Katowice and Warsaw - Split will be resumed on June 26 and will operate every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. Dortmund - Split route is resumes as of this Tuesday, June 15, This route is also operating every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday with Airbus A320 aircraft. Rome Fiumicino - Split will start on July 2 and will operate every Monday, Wednesday and Friday. WizzAir will directly compete with Croatia Airlines and Vueling on this route. London Luton - Split is delayed for July 19 and will operate three times a week once it resumes, as well as daily from August.
WizzAir will start the flights to its first route to Dubrovnik on July 3. Warsaw - Dubrovnik will operate every Wednesday and Saturday during the season. Vienna - Dubrovnik will start on July 18 and will operate every Wednesday and Sunday while Rome Fiumicino - Dubrovnik will start on August 3 and will run every Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday.
WizzAir starts, resumes, increases and delays routes from Bosnia & Herzegovina
WizzAir has began the flights from Sarajevo to Stockholm Skasvta, Brussles Charleroi and Paris Beauvais this week. Sarajevo - Stockholm flights started yesterday and they will operate every Monday and Friday during the season, Sarajevo - Brussels flights also started yesterday, they will operate every Friday this and next month, and every Monday and Friday as of August. Sarajevo - Paris flights started this afternoon, they will operate every Saturday this and next month, and every Tuesday and Saturday as of August. WizzAir will also increase the flights from Sarajevo to Memmingen on three times a week by adding additional third weekly rotation every Monday only in July. Sarajevo - London Luton remains to start on November 1. There is no change for the other routes.
WizzAir has resumed two routes from Tuzla: Vienna and Vaxjo. Tuzla - Vienna operated once a week, every Saturday since June 5 until today when the route get suspended again. The flights to Vienna will be resumed again on July 6 with two weekly rotations. Tuzla - Vaxjo is also resumed on June 5 and operates every Saturday since then. The route will get increased on twice a week in July. Tuzla - Billund will be resumed tomorrow, June 20 and will operate every Sunday this month and every Thursday and Sunday as of July. Tuzla - Karlsruhe will be resumed on July 2 and will operate every Friday during the month, and every Monday and Friday as of August, Tuzla - Friedrichshafen will be resumed on July 18 and will operate every Sunday during July and every Thursday and Sunday as of August. WizzAir has added additional fourth weekly rotation on the route Tuzla - Memmingen which will run every Monday in July only. Tuzla - Malmo will get increased on four times a week as of July 18 by returning the Sunday rotation.
WizzAir has also added third weekly rotation on the route Stockholm Skavsta - Banja Luka which will operate on July 20 and July 27 only. Airbus A321 aircraft is deployed for the flights from Stockholm, Basel and Malmo to Banja Luka while Airbus A320 aircraft is deployed for the flights from Dortmund and Eindhoven.
WizzAir delays Brussels - Ljubljana flights resumption
WizzAir has once again delayed the resumption of the flights from Brussels Charleroi to Ljubljana for a period of two weeks. The flights are now expected to start on July 12 and to operate every Monday and Friday with Airbus A320 aircraft.
WizzAir delays several routes from Bucharest
WizzAir has delayed the following routes from Bucharest:
Bergen until October 31;
Warsaw until September 17;
Saint Petersburg until September 17.
