The winter schedule at the Sofia airport enters into force from 30 October. Passengers on regular and charter flights will be able to choose one of the 27 airlines flying to nearly 90 airports in Europe, Africa and the Middle Eastern.
The start of the winter schedule begins with the regular flights of SKY EXPRESS to Athens. The carrier's aircraft will fly to the Greek capital five times a week on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays.
In late December, Sofia Airport will become home to the seventh-based Wizz Air aircraft in our capital. The airline also discovered two new lines on 13.12 – Hamburg and Stockholm. Flights to Germany's second largest city will be on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, and the carrier will fly twice to Sweden's capital on Tuesdays and Sundays. The base of Wizz Air's 7th aircraft, the increasing inceptions by part of the destinations, and the opening of the two new lines will add additional capacity of another 500,000 trips to and from the capital of Bulgaria per year.
And this winter season airline Ryanair will operate its flights twice a week to the Jordanian resort of Aqaba. Lovers of warm weather will be able to take advantage of the offers of the charter program at the Sofia airport with destinations in Turkey, Egypt, Jordan, Tunisia, Morocco, Tanzania, Thailand and Kenya. "ski" charters from Belfast, Birmingham, Castle, the East Midlands and Bristol have also been reported.
Sofia Airport continues to increase the air connectivity of the Bulgarian capital as part of the overall strategy for the development of the aeroport. From there, they reported that there were constant negotiations with airlines about the opening of new routes.
